another valentines alone...

Truthfully, I'm not that sad that I'm single on Valentine's Day.

                               No, really, I'm not!

I don't feel like crying hysterically....

Or sitting in a field by myself....

But I do feel like jumping for joy.

Well...maybe not quite.
Slight exaggeration.

Yes, it's nice to be showered with love.

Yes, it's nice to receive candy and chocolate.

Yes, it's nice to be given lovey-dovey cards and poems.

Yes, it's nice to be taken out for dinner.

Yes, all of those things are nice. But none of them even come close to measuring up to the gift that I've already been given; a gift we've all been given. And how sweet it is!

As cheesy as it sounds, I may not have an earthy valentine, but I'll always have Jesus; He's the ultimate valentine!

Happy Valentine's Day fellow Single Gals.

Remember, Valentine or not, we've got each other, and we've got Christ.
What more could we really need?

beautiful, beautiful

I have to be honest with you.

I am starting this blog post with nothing in mind.

Nothing but a verse that has been in my mind for over a week now.

Forgive me if this post lacks sense or rational, but as of right now, I put the pen in God's hands.

"So what's the verse" you may ask? Good question. It's Ecclesiastes 3:11. Ring any bells?

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God as done from beginning to end." (NIV)

Isn't that the truth in life? God has promised us that He will make things come full circle in HIS own time (emphasis on HIS own time). He doesn't promise us that will will understand His doings, He doesn't promise us that it will happen when WE want it to. But He does promise that whatever and whenever He does do it, it will be in our best interest (Jer. 29:11). I can only hope and pray that this includes our singleness as well; and I truly believe it does.

If you're anywhere in Southern Ontario today - I hope you have a lovely winter-filled weekend!
